Short Inspirational Quotes

No matter what we plan to undertake in life, there are times when the stress, strain and downright fear of certain things can cause us to loose momentum. It is during these times we seek to be inspired by our friends, mentors, or, in the case of quotations, famous folks who have experienced similar trias and tribulations. A good quote can do wonders for our mindset and resolve... the power of words can have a great impact our spiritual outlook. Presented here are a few short inspirational quotes that have personally helped me through different situations, hopefully they help you as well.

1) Try not to become a man of success but a man of value. - Albert Einstein

I love this quote because it always gets me thinking about what my end goals are with what I'm doing. If I achieve what I'm setting out to do, will I be happy with how others perceive me? Will I, ultimately, be happy with myself? I think it's important to evaluate what you're doing; gauge whether you are making a positive impact to yourself and those are you. I think the simple test would be the "Grandmother" test. Would you tell you grandmother what you're doing? Would she be proud of you? If the answer is no to either of those questions, it might be time to reevaluate what you're doing.

2) Doubt whom you will, but never yourself. - Christian Nestell Bovee

To succeed at anything in life, you have to believe in yourself. No matter what those around you say, no matter how far fetched some might think your ideas are- above all, you have to believe in them, and yourself, whole heartedly or you can believe no one else will.

3) Don't wait for extraordinary opportunities. Seize common occasions and make them great. - Orison Swett Marden

If there's one thing I've learnt in life, opportunities are very rarely going to come to you. You have to go out and create your opportunities. Often times, fear leads to us not venture out and find opportunity, we become content with staying in the familiar and waiting and hoping for that big break. Go out and make your own big break- the power to do so exists within us all.

There's not one successful person who didn't start with a dream. The successful dream big and commit themselves to doing what is necessary to achieve that dream. You will be faced with hard work, probably even rejection, but you must stay the course. You must believe in your dream so fervently that you will literally not let anything or anyone stop you until you reach your goal. Successful people power through tough times... in fact, they learn from them. Every failure you face should be looked upon as an opportunity for growth. Learn from your failures and apply what you've learn to what you do going forward. Make this your midset and there's nothing that will stop you.

5) You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. - Wayne Gretzky

It goes without saying that if you don't at least try, you'll never know what you are capable of. Quell your fears and get out there and try... you just might surprise yourself. At the very leaset, you don't what to look back on things in twenty years and wonder what could have been. Live life free from regret. The worst possible thing that can happen is you fail... but we already established that should be a source of personal growth, right? What are you waiting for? Get out there and let your passions loose. You owe it yourself and the world to be the very best of you!
